The main activity is farming; bananas, African palm, maize, green bean, yucca, tobacco, achiote, citric, vegetables, melons, banana, sugar cane, coconut tree, abaca and rice. The existence of coast ichthyologic resources and inland waters, such as shrimps pools and white fishing, leads to the establishment of the fish industry, that includes frozen processing plants, fish flour, etc.
